Part of Stéphane Kropf's universe is revealed on the centuries-old walls of Gruyères Castle. Abstract compositions, graphic landscapes and colourful impressions bear witness to his current research.

In these new series of paintings, the artist continues his investigation into the sensory properties of matter. He takes stock of the perceptible world with astonishing lightness - and a certain amount of mischievousness - whose actual mechanisms we will never understand.

When he tests the possibilities of new colours or confuses the eye with vibrating motifs, the artist is always experimenting and presents the viewer with works in a state of eternal change.
