Visiting the Castle

Opening Hours
The castle is open every day, including Christmas and New Year’s day.
April – October : 9am to 6pm
November – March : 10am to 5pm
Last entry: 45 minutes before closing. We recommend that you arrive 1 hour before closing time in order to fully enjoy your visit.
Admission to the Castle
The entrance ticket gives access to the castle, the garden (from Easter to September), the historical visit and all temporary exhibitions.

How to get to the Castle
Gruyères is easily accessible by public or private transport. As the town is closed to traffic, it takes between 10 and 20 minutes on foot to reach the castle from the Gruyères-Ville (bus) station or the various parking lots (travel time varies depending on the parking lot: P1, P2 and P3).
