The castle is fully furnished with furniture, objects and works of art from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
Yes, photography is allowed but only without flash and only for private use. Any commercial use is strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to prohibit shooting with large equipment.
Wheelchair users can access the panoramic esplanade, the court yard and the garden. Please note that access to the rooms and the different floors is via a spiral staircase.

Canes and walking sticks are allowed as long as they have a rubber tip.
The castle is not accessible to baby carriages. For safety reasons, back-carriers are not allowed inside the castle. The castle does not have any luggage lockers.
It is possible to leave your bag at the reception desk, if space allows. For security reasons, backpacks must be carried at the front or by hand inside the castle.
A picnic area is located at the “Clos-aux-cerfs” next to the church of Gruyères. Picnicking is not allowed anywhere on the castle grounds.
Animals, even if kept on a leash or in a bag, are not allowed on the castle grounds with the exception of guide dogs for the blind or assistance dogs.
