Due
to it's history and architecture, the Castle of Gruyères,
located in the heart of the Gruyère region, deserves a very
particular attention.
Aims
The association “The Castle's Friends” was created on
the 7th of March 1997. Since then it follows the following aims
:
the promotion of the Castle in Switzerland and throughout the
world, the purchase of works of arts to complete the existing collections
of the Castle, the improvement of visitor's welcome, the encouragement
of cultural activities, such as theater, music and dance.
A
privilege
Becoming a member of the Castle's Friends is a real privilege.
You'll get the chance to visit the Castle any day of the year, to
discover the Castle in a new and unusual way. You'll also be personally
invited to the openings of temporary exhibitions and in this way
meet other visitors from the whole world.
What
has been done by the Association ?
The
Castle’s Friends undertook the renovation of the inner yard
aiming at promoting new cultural and spare-time activities in that
place.
How much does it cost ?
A small yearly contribution :
CHF 20.- per person or CHF 35.- for a couple
Advantages
No entrance fees to visit the Castle during
one whole year.
An invitation to private views.
