Photo Esplanade | Enjoy Fribourg

For this new edition of Photo Esplanade, three photographers from different generations cast their eye on the Canton of Fribourg. At the behest of Union Fribourgeoise du Tourisme, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Adrien Perritaz (b. 1998), Mélanie Rouiller (b. 1980), and Charles Ellena (b. 1962) set off to meet the people and the places that many tourists discover every day.

Each photographer explored the Canton in their own way. Mélanie Rouiller, on foot or on her bicycle, collected a bouquet of snapshots showing the landscapes and the people she came across. Charles Ellena vividly captured spontaneous, atypical moments at iconic sites and large events. Adrien Perritaz waited for the evening sky to turn red, highlighting a world brought to life by fascinating contrasts. Full of wonder and delicious shots, their visual investigations showcase the sometimes-discreet facets of a constantly changing region.
